I've seen plenty of SV650S's for sale and they've always got the k1, k2 or k# suffix. The majority I've seen have correlated to the year of the bike i.e. k5 2005 or k1 2001 etc, then I've started noticing bikes which are like 2006 k2 so I'm completely confused. Could anyone clear this up for me?
Thanks in advance, Pt6^ |

200X = kX
you might get early-release bikes appearing to be registered a year early - eg gsxr750k7's were available late-06 iirc - or imported bikes registered a year late. a 2006 k2 sounds rather unusual/unlikely, although there may be some valid, convoluted reason |

the "K" number is the model year so you may see a K2/03 bike (2002 model, registered in 2003) but not a 2006/k2 unless it's been in a showroom for four years.
(FYI before the K1's was the X & Y). Model information is available on the site home page. Cheers Mark
