Default Bluflame Evo can problems! Very loose and not sure why

Hey I bought a T reg SV650 a while ago and it had a Blueflame Evo can already fitted. Problem is, it wobbles about real bad and not too sure why. Tried some silicon sealant to stop it but doesnt work. So now ive got fumes leaking out at the joint which sucks.

Has the bloke I bought it off fitted it wrong??

Please help!

Cheers

try removing it, cleaning away all the silicon and crap, then use gungum all over the joining bits and put it back together, cleaning away all the crap that's left showing (yes it does actually look like crap, lol). then use the exhaust clips 2 completely seal it and leave it for a few hours.. come back to it and run the engine on idle for a few minuites but dont let it get 2 hot! you will notice you'll need to clean more crap away as the stuff expands to fill every gap... job done.

You dont need to use exhaust sealant such as Gun Gum, if its fitted properly ordinary builders silicone should do the job fine.

When you say its loose what do you mean, I've got one of these on my SV and it was a b*gger to fit properly. The strap / hanger is rubbish and doesnt fit the shape of the can properly I had to bend mind into shape so it would support the can properly.

Has the link pipe been secured with the clamps properly and does it all line up ? Any chance of some pictures, it would help identify what the problem is.

if your totally stuck drop this guy an email Rod Geskell, rgeskell@blueflameperformance.com he's the MD of Blue Flame, he sorted out my problems when my can vibrated itself to bits, they have a lifetime warranty on their cans.

Blueflame

They all do that sir.

When you refit it, just use standard clear silicon sealant on the joint, no need for 'high heat' stuff.
