TRE sv650/1000 - SV650.org

Hi there guy's 'n' gals, need to pick your collective knowledgeable brains.

Does anyone know if the smart TRE for the sv1000 is the same as the one for the 650???

No. Well for a start I made one with the info from a 1000 forum ages ago. It was lovely and remotely switchable. However, the plugs are different! The plugs that are used for the 1000 got to something underneath the fuel tank on the 650 (K3 anyway). Think it's the fuel sender or something. Consequently when it was switched on it was cutting it out! I did see the correct plug but basically left it there. You can have mine if you wanna try and fit waterproof plugs on it. I'm not fussed now cos as I understand it will hardly make a difference on the 650.

The internals are the same, only the plugs are different.

Thank you both. Just gatta wake myself up now and decide whether I can be bothered to change the plugs over
