Default Before and after crash repairs

I did this in June 2006 -------> Now it looks like this

------->

I had no need to rush the repairs so I've taken my time and picked things up cheap where I could (eg brand new tank £35).
There's a great looking high level IXIL can on the other side which I'll take pics of next time I have the bike out.

I broke my coccyx bone in the accident and it still gives me jip.
Doctors reckon I'll take at least twice as long as the bike to repair

Just need to sort the lockstop (see other thread) and change the leaky fork seals and she's finally finished.
I'm having to sell my SP2 for financial reasons so this will be my main bike this summer. Should be fun though.

I prefer the first picture.. After all I like the angular look of the pointys! :P

Good job. BTW what is that on the radiator front. Looks like that will stop the radiator working as well as it should.

They are radiator cowls, it may be the angle of the picture but they are on the side and not on the front as you can see in this pic.

There is a stainless radiator guard on there too to protect from stone chips.

Rad cowls only fit the naked SV Jase cos the radiator is different on the faired. It has a lug to mount the front fairing. They are from Powerbronze if you are still interested.

Glad you got it sorted and hope you heal quickly, but what a shame to lose the Candy Anteres Red - I had that colour and loved it

I do have Candy Antares Red bodywork, tank, genuine seat cowl and rear hugger for an S model. I have plenty of SV bits and pieces, more than enough to put another bike together so I reckon so it'll probably go on there. I'll probably put the twin high level carbon IXIL cans on that one too. Should loko ace when it's ready, that'll probably be next winter's project.

I called it Rhubarb & Custard when it was red and yellow. I could fire all the red stuff on this and put the S model front end on it but I'd have to do change of colour on the log book and it'd show up under an HPI check. The bike has only done 5.5k miles from new!

Managed to find my spare forks in the garage this weekend gonna stick the Ohlins 80s springs in and 15W oil tonight and fire them in with a new bottom yoke just so I'm 100% that the front is sweet. Found some brand new SK2 preload fork tops and washers that I forgot I had too so i'll bung them on as well. Galfer Wavey discs and Goodridge lines can go on after MOT. Got a steering damper too but I reckon it'll only go on the S model. Flat bars might foul it. I might try a 'cafe racer stylee' naked with clip-ons arrangement so I can use the damper.

I've got a JHS 4deg ignition advancer, BMC race filter and some stage 3 carbs to try as well. I'm not sure if the IXIL on it at the moment will maximise those mods so I might swap it for the full Arrow system afterwards and get it dyno'd.

I'm getting all excited just thinking about itm, kinda makes getting rid of the SP2 bearable.............no that's a lie
