Its big but the resolution is still 1,280 × 1,024.

What resolution do you run at the moment? If its 1280x1024 or more then you wont see any improvement other than everything will be bigger on the screen.

If that is the resolution you want, then its a pretty cheap buy.

Argos have a widescreen 19" hd ready acoustic solutions tv (with computer monitor connections aswell as hd!) for £149.99 on sale from £229.99, and so far I've been very impressed with the quality for both the computer and as a tv, (except non hd channels, they look a bit crappy on all lcds, but thats not a problem if you only use it as a monitor or for dvds like I am.)

Things to look for on cheaper LCDs are the colour depth and the refresh- if it's very juddery/lots of tracers on bright parts of the image, it may be a touch wearing to look at for long periods of time. The folks have a medion telly- it's not bad, as it goes, for the price, but the colour isn't that great...

Like Viney says- depends what you want it for. For Emails and 'art', I'm sure it'll be fine!
