If you had some spare cash - say about 8k (which I will have shortly) - would you keep your beloved SV(S) or go for something new?
At the minute I'm thinking something new but not sure what that something new would be. The bikes that are taking my interest at the minute are the ER6-F, Z750 or the new GXS750. What would you do? *confused* ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Buy one of these:
![]() Will still give you a fair whack over at £6.5k new [ABS version] to add extras [like a givi rack for example ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I love it tbh. Its got a torquey style engine with the power coming on low down the revs like the SV, but its got the ooomph of an IL4 that the SV doesnt have. Makes everything so effortless, hardly any wind buffeting on the motorway, handles superbly. At least go test ride one ![]() It feels lighter than the SV though its 50 kilos heavier. But in terms of size, its not actually that big for a litre bike tbh. Highly recommended ![]() |

Lol I'm gonna end up wishing I hadn't asked cause I'm gonna end up with a few more bikes in the frame.
ISA would look good only all available spare cash will probably go into a new business venture myself and the missus are thinking about which might also knock the new bike on the head cause I would have no time to ride it lol. |

Buy a used GSXR750 SRAD or similar, or buy a motorcross bike, and keep the SV
And the rest of the money, put away and sit on it - you neer know when you might need it! I think the motorcross bike idea is a good one Matt |

I swapped the the SVS for an ER6-F purely for the comfort. Dont buy one if you want to keep the performance you are used to, but if you want something comfy, easy and predictable but not dull(sville) then its a good choice.
