Cops hate single liners, so just get the 6x2 and accept your medicine. You might aswell get it smoked too.

There was a guy used to go down the Farrningham few years back, had a small single liner, got done for it, couple of weeks later he came back with a car rear single liner and got done for that, about a month later he came back with four of the square plates bolted together with his reg in the middle and the slogon " big enough for you!!!" and guess what ?
Yeah, he got done for that as well ![]() Cheers Mark.

Well I saw a rolls yesterday with the reg LJ (Err i think, noticed it was only two letters, no numbers and had a drink or two since). how the hell assuming I bought said vehicle with such a plate would I be able to commit a crime with the layout and sizing beyond physical plate size.
Interestingly the plate this number was on was standard car size on the front from where I saw it. There was emourmous expense of space either side of the centre justified lettering.

My suggestion would be to go for a 2 liner at either 6 x 4 or 7 x 5.
I have used both sizes & ridden all around the country without any hassle. Or alternatively, go really small - a bike featured in Streetfighter magazine a few years ago had a plate that was the size of 2 postage stamps side by side !! ![]()

Is it worth getting a single line plate? IMO you might as well write 'please pull me over I want to pay a fine!' on your leathers.

Agree with Supervox and Kate, no point attracting even more negative attention than needed. I had 7x5 and it looked pretty nice plus cops checked it and were fine about it.
