Default Annoying paint scuff

It seems I have developed a habit of catching the rear seat cowl with my knee when getting on the bike. I have taken the paint of both corners on the front of the cowl. Has any one got any ideas for a quick fix. (Other than putting the rear seat on).

Lean forward more when getting on/off? I sometimes catch mine, luckily no marks, but I'm always pretty careful getting on and off since it seems so easily caught.

I can't believe how soft the paint is. What would it look like after riding it through Winter?

banditmania and get the touch up paint..

build it up slowly- it will look dull at first. very dull cos it aint lacquered.

then when u have built it up so the level is actually proud of the scuff.. and it is dry.. .. give it a quick and hard polish with car wax and u will see the level of the paint come down and the colour seems to get better- then u need apply some laquer (comes with the set from banditmania) -

and then as above buff up and polish

thats how I did mine- and it looks fine..it does take patience though and u hav eto ride yer bike a while with it looking blotchy .. or pop u seat on whilst u do it in the shed.

Is that really true? If so why is that the case? Does everyone catch their knee on the cowl?
