Default Helmets with internal sun visor.

I currently have a Caberg V2 lid, which i bought for the internal sun visor - which is great.

However, everything else about the lid sucks. Its noisey, heavey and worst of all makes me look like a power ranger.

So are there any other lids out there with an internal sun visor, that aren't completely pants?

In short......NO.

I've seen a few and the idea is useful, but none of what I would consider good makes of helmet have them.

Cheers Mark.

Can't think of another lid with internal visor but what about visors with pinlock system - Arai and Shoei! The inserts come with a sleeve which easily fit down your leathers (leather jackets that is...). Available in various grades and colours for around £20.

I might be wrong but don't Schubert make a lid with an internal visor, and doesn't Mr Toad have one.

Check out here http://www.schuberth.com/

I do

It's a Schuberth S1 - got it off Helmet City

It's dead good - very quiet, good ventilation
I recommend it highly

hey, what about the new hjc? or even nolan or x-lite? ok the dark visor isnt internal but weve sold loads of these lids and the visor has proved a big selling point.

I have an Airoh SV-55 that has the internal sun visor. It also comes with a pinlock type inner visor (clear) if you want to. Great helmet, but a little noisy as all flip-up helmets.

I have the Lazer Revolution which predates the others by a bit but also suffers from being fairly noisy.

Still it does me just fine even if it is slightly larger than most helmets

I also have one of these and agree fully with the issues you have noted. I got it while i was still on my little GS500 comuting around town but now i've got an SV i was acually concidering getting a different helmet because i was thinking it might not be good enough i a higher speed accident. Do these helmets fair well in accidents? Would people recommend upgrading to a better helmet like an Arai or am i just over reacting?

Was wearing my Caberg Trip (has integrated sun-visor) when I had my off at the end of last year.

No head damage despite scrapes on lid, so it did its job well.

Replaced it with a Shoei XR1100 Cryptic as I wanted something with Pinlock - the Caberg used to mist up all the time.

Have a selection of coloured Pinlock inserts arriving in the next while from the US so no need for internal visor (tho it WAS really handy), using a pair of Oakley shades in the meantime.

Wife still has her Caberg Trip, and I have an Caberg Brutus as my emergency back-up lid.

Caberg lids are ok, but much prefer the fit etc of my Shoei now
