why oh why (oh why) do they insist on doing it in jeans, t-shirt, and (worst) of all, no gloves!? it pains me to watch it!

They do it because it's cool to be lying around in hospital for months, having skin grafts to cover up areas of gravel-rashed skin.

40mph stoppies, over the bars on to bare hands. Sounds like the last ride you'd ever have!
At 70mph tarmac burns through skin at 4 inches/second...eurgh |

I was watching a vid online the other day, and the bloke came off doing a wheelie-didn't seem majorly fast, but he was wearing shorts. The camera zoomed on on him after and he was on the floor screaming in agony as his legs/knees had been ground down pretty far.

yuck yuck yuck.
makes me cringe to imagine what my arms/knees/face would look like if i hadn't been wearing a proper jacket/trousers/fullface helmet when i was knocked off the bike a couple of weeks ago. |
