Default Clearcoat rubbing off

Hi everyone! I've had my sv650s for about 5 months now. I've just noticed that it seems like the clearcoat has started to rub off where my knees make contact with the tank. The rest of the bike looks shiny and glossy while these points on the tank are beginning to look more flat and matte. Should I be worried about this eventually wearing down to the paint? Also, would waxing the tank and plastics on the bike prevent this problem from progressing further? Thanks!

my cousins red k6 is loosing its paint, when he polishes it with a normal car polish the cloth turns a red colour suggesting hes rubbing off the paint.

I'm guessing they don't sell that in the US? I suppose I'll see if I can find something comparable here before order online. Thanks!

Jeez, sounds more like cutting paste. I too use autoglym and other makes, never seen paint come off.

I wonder if Suzuki have had a bad batch of paint?

I have noticed that when I ride my K6 my knees feel as though they are pushed against the tank.
