Liscence requirements? - Yes you must have one! (either a road or race one will do)
Why do you not want to use your own bike? If you crash a hire bike the ins. excess will be a lot anyway, put crash bungs on and any crash on track shouldn't be too expensive (fairings & levers usually) But if you still want to, look at the track day companies like Focused Events it's them that rent the bikes not the tracks. |

I know that some track day companies don't allow people on with a restricted licence, it's probably best to check with the different organisers.

you could get an ACU licence if you don't have the required road licence

Don't know any tracks that allow you on with a restricted licence I'm afraid. Your choices are either do your full test or get a race licence.

IIRC when focused events were at silverstone they were hiring ex R6 cup bikes for £200 a day, they'll set all the suspension up and all that malarkey but the downside is if you bin it it was £400 excess, so if the unfortunate did happen you'll have forked out £600 where as if you bin your own your probably looking at lever and fairing damage which is what flea bays all about. ![]() |
