Default SV400 Tire Pressure & Other Querys

Hi All, ... My GF has got a 99 SV400S, but forgot what her tyre pressure is supposed to be.... any ideas? as I know its supposed to be a bit less then the 650. (its written in japanese on the swingarm... but bugger all chance reading that.

The brakes are really bad as well, so I put on a braided hose on the front last night which hopefully will help.... any suggestions on a good set of pads for it?
theres a ticking noise on idle also, but reading this board that seems to be nomral.

Overall, good little bike, Ive got a Hayabusa but I love the way you can hoy this thing into corners without even trying

Thanks all,
Will continue to bum around the site for a while and see whats happending.

Cheers
Fin.

try 29 front 30 rear and see how she feels.
the ticking is normal.

the brakes on svs can go very bad from use and then sitting up for a while.
Try a set of double h ebc pads.
if this does not work get a new piston kit with seals and replace everything.
brakes are very important even on a little 400.
some times a racing break fluid helps if they are fading in hot weather.

Is it single disc on the '99? SOunds like it... I'd go for a more progressive pad like a Carbon Lorraine A3+ or somesuch for that, nearly as strong as HH but no trace of grabbiness. Single discs tend to cost you modulation... I went from allsorts of SBK, HH etc to the A3+ and I just reckon it's a better pad on the road.
