Had Jimmy and Claudio, the two cameramen, in work a couple of weeks ago to discuss what camera kit they were taking: Went for a ride with Claudio on his scooter to see which tankbags he wanted and stuff. It was kinda weird, but I liked being able to help out in some way!

I'm quite excited about this. Will the be riding though the UK? does that mean we can all join them half way?

Click on the links. The bbc link has the route map.

Its John O Groats down through Europe then down through Africa so thats a definite yes to riding through the UK.

Halfway would be somewhere in Africa though

Their proposed route looks interesting; a straight line going (sometimes) through peoples houses! Boy, those BMW's can go anywhere

Pretty cool, I'm looking forward to watching this.

Botswana and South Africa is such a wonderful place, will be nice to see the places I've been to on TV.

Thanks for the heads up Lynw
