Default New member seeking advice

Hi all,
I've just re-joined up to this forum since I may well be buying a 2007 SV650 (or a Bandit) after having had my CBR600 stolen last year.
I was just after a little advice regarding the new bikes:

How long does the manufacturer's warantee last for?
Are there any common issues with these bikes that I should be aware of (eg - the front sparkplug looks a little exposed)?
Can the SV650 bike be bought with ABS fitted like the Bandit?

Thanks.
Paul

Call a Suzuki dealer for full details of how long it lasts and what is covered

We have had trouble with the front cylinder in very heavy rain getting waterlogged and cutting out, although I wouldn't like to say that its a problem with all SVs (having said that, the number of race SVs with a deflecter on the front cylinder is quite high!).

See your first question

Bandit or SV? Both good bikes in my opinion

warranty 2 years, front plug can be a problem if ridden in the rain, no abs on the 650. hope this helps.

2006 bikes have a small plate in front of the top of cylinder one to stop the damp spark plug incidents

regarde:

i just found this out and stopped the dealer fitting one to my new bike the other day, they aren't exactly the height of style
