Apologies, don't know why this post ended up at the beginning of the thread and not the end!

'96 Subaru Legacy GT-B.

Twin Turbos, 280 bhp, 4wd, suspension by Bilstein, in built dog guard, loads of space, handles well, just a pity it looks like a big fridge! Oh and it cost only about the same as a 2nd hand pointy SV....

Default What Car (if any) do you drive?

Hello all,

I appreciate that this is a bike forum (which is awesome btw) but curiousity has got the better of me. I was interested to know what cars that you drive when you're not on your bike.

Do you all have fairly sporty numbers or are they family buses.

Wondered if there was a pattern / link between those that ride and like to drive fast-ish cars?

Personally I found a love for Honda cars. My first personal car was a 4th Gen Honda Civic 1.6i-16 then moved onto a Honda CRX 1.6vtec, which I still adore. Practical reasons moved me onto a different car (you guessed it, another Honda) - The DC2 Integra Si 1.8vtec. Unfortunately I've since sold the lot when my company (IBM) decided they wanted to give me a car! So currently driving around in a brand new Ford Focus 1.8tdci This amongst other things has sparked my thoughts for a bike in the first place!

(Sorry if this is a repost. I did a quick search without much joy)

I don't buy cars, being a sales rep I go for jobs that supply me with company ones. Last company car was a Mk4 Golf diesel which was due to be replaced with a new Passat just after I left - last car I actually paid money for was a VW Scirocco with a 16V Golf Gti engine/box and that was years ago.

'06 model Toyota Avensis estate, not particularly fast but then I don't see the point in fast cars. It has got all the toys and comfort you can ask for though.

Got a Mercedes Benz E class at the mo and have a CLK convertible on order which should be here early July.

I was a late starter on bikes (didn't get my license until about 4 years ago) and have always been into cars but since I've taken up riding my interest in them has really diminished. Driving about 40,000+ miles each year for the past 8 years probably hasn't helped either.

subaru impreza, hatchback. Love it, 4wd, sticks to the road, practical aswell. Had it 3 years now and still smile! Very basic inside, no nonsense frills I say. I would recommend it to anyone, unless they do high motorway mileage, because its high reving you do feel you want a sixth gear, but on twisty A roads, which is what we have mostly around here, perfect. (oh, has a very hard suspension as well)

We have a tatty old H reg Fiesta that we never drive. It just stays parked outside the house to guarantee us being able to get the bike through the front door.

Our car we use for mundane stuff like shopping is an old K reg 106. We're not into spending money on cars, all our spare cash goes on biking

good girl, quite right too

I got my car when things went poo with the husband had a few bangers that kept letting me down, so decided to I needed to invest in reliablility.

Since then my bike collection has grown, and if I hadnt bought the car when I did then it wouldnt have happened! If I were to sell, it would be to get something worth less, so I had money to spend on the bikes That said, I do love it, and so for me to sell it would have to be really worth my while
