Default A beginners gide to upgrading from a SV to the sports bike of your dreams!

How you ask?

Well with my patented formula........

Only joking , but on a serious note since my accident roughly 2 months ago i have saved a fortune. Where as before i had huge outgoings for all sorts of things like petrol/drinking/clubbing and all sots of general socialising.

Having looked at my bills for the past 6 months in the last 2 months i have saved over £3k...makes my previous spending look pretty horiffic...but the piggy bank is well and truly bulging

So the morale of the story is get knocked off your perfectly loveable SV and soon you will be hooligan-ing around with the best of them.

Disclaimer: If you die then this system may prove ineffective

It also transpires that being involved in an accident might have a devestating effect on you ability to spell!

Luckypants did the same. Wrote off his SV, bought a VFR...

Hmm. Interesting.

If thats what you have in mind, it may be a good idea if you are not on the
bike at the time.
Take care out there!

Not 100% decided yet but the R6 seems to be winning the race in my head at the moment. Of course it all depends on practicalities, like if its comfortable for my knee(which may or may not be an issue). I think i am going to go on a marathon test riding spree as soon as i can .

For some reason, maybe my tastes need to mature, i cant envisage myself on a naked bike...they really dont do it for me . The "Z" is one of the better looking nakeds, it has that brute look...but would i buy one?

Baph you may want to clock your bike before you write it off mate...otherwise it will be back to a pushbike

Funnily enough i had Luckypants in mid aswell when i started this thread....the VFR is intriguing as it in theory ticks all the boxes for me...will it prematurely age me? and its a Honda ffs

i know what you mean about naked bikes, i wasn't sure either. i think what often puts me off is a big round single headlight- i really don't like that look, it doesn't do it for me at all. the zed is a bit different which is why i like it. i do miss our old sv though
