Default Flamin injuries...

...went out to town drown my sorrows tonight. Was at hospital today. Thought I was getting a lot better with my elbow and hip but got my **** kicked by the docs.

I have some kind of anterior/exterior something or other in my elbow as a result of my off which means its gonna be 8-9 months before it gets better and heals. Really ****ed off. I know I struggled on the borders rideout but thought it was a case of I'll be ok in a few weeks.

Got a serious shock tonight. Tried to lift a 4 kg weight at the physios from rest and I could not get it more than 6 inches off the table. Physio - straight away sent me for an x-ray. I went and was told I have some bad damage at the elbow joint. Annoying because I've been trying to do some stuff and can do reps of 30 press ups now since off. Could do 50-60 reps before and thought I was doing well but I never tried lifting weights. Just thought the pain would sort itself out. Physio did a few movements and said I have virtually no muscle round my elbow.

Been told also I have to wear a neck brace for my neck due to the whiplash(2 weeks for 8 hours a day apparently).

Did a hand test and I could not write my name cos my thumb is fecked. Mad as a box of frogs - I obviously don't use a pen/pencil enough. Can't remember the last time I actually wrote something - how mad is that

On a plus point - got a new can on the KWAK - looking on the bright side

That is a full on, five star bummer!

Can you lift a pint at least? Could you write your own name before the crash? Can you wear the neck brace in bed? What kind of can is it?

GWS mate

Fuel can...very tasty.

Aye...brace can be worn around the house and sitting at the PC. Not sure if I could ever write my name though...certainly not last night...hic. Sunday I was okish up till the stint into moffat. Every bump was making the elbow worse. Doesn't stop me riding - just have to go through this physio for months. Apparently elbow and knee injuries take forever to heal.

I can push no problem - hence the press ups but I couldn't believe it when the physio asked me to lift the 4k weight and I couldn't.

Ah well...I can still lift a pint
