Having posted 'help my knees' the other day has anyone velcroed armour to the inside of jeans/trousers? If so did it work well, I plan to get some Hiprotec/know arour and just use knee slider velcro patches to attach the armour to the inside of my Icon jeans (there are no armour pockets inside)

I think the Knox armour you can fit to Hood jeans comes with patches of velcro to do just that?

The only real consideration is how well fitting are the jeans.
The reason being that if the armour is attached to you, then it is more likely to remain stable in the event of an impact/drag. If it is attached to the jeans then there is a far greater likelyhood of the armour moving (if say, sliding down the road, the jeans will be dragged/twisted = armour doing the same) and not providing the correct protection. This is one reason why leathers should be such a snug fit. Just a thought. |
