Default SV Rear Shock "Rebuild"

Ok so there was a bit of doubt on whether an SV shock can come apart.

Well heres the proof that it can.

All you need is a spring compressor and an adjustable spanner (thats about a 24mm lock-nut in there - a big open-ended spanner would also be good for that)

But the main shock body is still together?

That why the "Rebuild" in the title is in quotes....

Its really only a Re-Springing......

But some people thought it was impossible to break the SV shock down as pictured in the photo.

Sorry if I mislead.

Yep, but then you put it back together with a different spring and the damping's all to ****. Probably

THough to be fair, the damping curves aren't great as standard so maybe a different spring would work better
