Throttle Position Sensor.

Not a mod an adjustment, just like any other part of the bike.

If an SV650 has a flat tyre in the forest and no-one is there to blow it up, how long will it be 'til someone posts that the reg/rec is duff and the world will end unless a CBR unit is fitted? A little bit of knowledge = a dangerous thing.

It's dead easy Kwak, follow Tim's 650 guide and you'll be fine - job's exactly the same on the 1000.

Ah, but aren't you modifying what it's set to?

Kwak, as said, it's pish. However, if you're worried, I can be convinced to strap tools on the back of the bike for the south wales rideout etc. Just open her up & have a look-see. If you're worried about anything, just stick a post up, though it really is simple. My tip, SLIGHTLY un-torque one of the bolts (but not enough to undo it), then slacken the other bolt. Tiny adjustments make a huge difference, even to the point of re-torqueing (sp?) bolts!!
