Default Box / panniers for my SV650

I have a K6 SV650 (2mths old) and would like to get a box / panniers so that I can venture further afield and take stuff with me.

I don't want to get a tank bag or rucksack but would like to be able to remove the box / panniers easily.

I would appreciate some advice on what I need to buy.

Thank you
Richard

I got some oxford sport throw over panniers, pretty quick to fit when you're used to them and good for a week's + worth of holiday stuff before expandong, so probably could take a good fortnight's worth of kit when expanded. They're stable at autobahn speeds too and set the black off quite nicely with their metallic silver colur.

Richard...I don't know how anyone can use a tankbag on an SV? How would you see the speedo? Has anyone tried this?

Yeah, not a problem at all. I really like the Oxford Humpback, it's not huge in its compressed form but it's never in the way, I could do a trackday with it on and not be too bothered, because of its shape.

But, I've got a top box now, which I'll be honest, I absolutely love. I can stick my helmet, gloves and back protector in it when I go round the shops, or throw stuff into it when I get back (once I take the helmet out...), I can pack for the AR in about 10 minutes and never once worry if the stuff's going to fall off the back... It's ugly, of course, and I take the rack off when I'm not using it (takes 5 minutes) but in terms of practicality it just wins, by an absolute mile. I'm going to get a spare monokey base and bolt it to a pillion seat for easier use too.
