Default Went to see...

http://www.jbonamassa.com/ this guy last night...absolutley brilliant!!

Kind of a 'technician' of the guitar...started off with a Les Paul sunburst, then something (definetley a guitar though) that I'd not seen before but was very shiney (edit: a Gigliotti tele), then back to the les paul, then a Gibson called 'Lucille' ('cos that is what it had written on it), a Fender, then an acoustic Nine something or other, then the Les Paul again...anyway the whole set was superb, and let's not forget the drummer, bass player and keyboard player as well 'cos they added their bit!!

Anyway, at the end, I got this...

which was nice!! And it was his!!

So if anyone's going to the Rhythm Fest in Bedford this weekend, you'd better check this guy out - an absolute stonker.

Did alot of his own stuff with a couple of Led Zep and ZZ Top medley's. Still boogying here...and I've got to go out tomorrow afternoon to a reunion...do'nt know how I'll contain myself!! . Summer's arrived!!

Oh - and I've got no work for 4, yes FOUR whole weeks!!

See the link - he's not well known in the UK and will be in Bedford tommorrow. He usually comes to the UK to play at a Blues Fest somewhere and will add three or four minor venues to his little mini tour.

Sounds ace I suspect you might like Ian Siegal & Matt Schofield's stuff - the latter has some spots at the guitar festival in Bath at the mo. Ian Siegal & the Score was easily the best band in Nottingham during my "yoof", by the looks of things he's got a lot more travelled lately but still does Nottingham regularly.
