Default Karting - twoz a bit wet!! ;)

Went karting yesterday (got my own kart) ... the worst weather we have had for like a fortnight

I have just had my engine rebuilt and I had loads of problem with it cutting out and generally misbehaving ... where it was wet, I didn't know if it was the electrics just getting wet or if there was a more sinister problem ...

Either way I got very wet!! ... you know squelchy underpants type wet!!

Here is a quick clip (that is my mate ahead hence why I singled out this bit from all my footage!! ). youtube vid

Yeah, it's a blast in the wet, especially if you're just on the rental karts.

Looks top fun Blue, not a fan of that camera angle, though. Tape it to your lid next time

I went Kartin' for the first time a few weeks ago, in the wet, with no gloves. Great fun though especially on slicks with a load of standing water I had to take a little off road line at one point to get past someone, hit the biggest puddle there and had water over my head. Got past him though

How fast do those things go? I've done karting, but always on the rattly rubbish ones, that's fast enough frankly

They will potentially crack a ton with the right gearing ... I didn't believe it when I was first told that, but mine is geared for ~80 at the mo (as it is geared for that track) and it revvs out in top very easy/quickly, so I can imagine that the extra 20mph is achievable with a longer straight

I can't describe just how different they are from the indoor karting 4-stroke jobs (which is all I had ever done before I got mine) ...
