After finally deciding to get a Fuel Oval Stainless Can, I placed my order this morning via their web site.
... and fine out they are *closed* for the next two weeks for their annual holidays! Murphys is definitely on the ball this weekend! Well, it'll be snowing in three weeks so I'm not waiting two to get a can so I've cancelled my order. Who else is worth having a look at for similar money? Thanks, Carl |

A bit more expensive (I think) but I like Carbon Can Company - usually with you 24 - 48hrs after placing order

Ended up ordering a CCC Oval Stainless with Solid Rivet bands (like the Fuel's).
Cheap as chips and a pleasure to deal with. ![]() Cheers, Carl |

Can now fitted (relatively easy but no fitting instructions included).
If I had to do it again, I'd cut the exhaust a little longer becasue it's quite close to the Swining arm. The initial smell from the can getting hot is now diminishing and if anything the can is slightly louder now than it was when i first fitted it (no, the baffles are still in ![]() On a 30 mile ride last night I found two things stood out. The bike sounds "Slower" than it used to ![]() ![]() Very nice sound though! But being able to hear it at the top end means it now sounds like it's pulling less revs. Secondly, and quite surprising, was how smooth the engine was! All through the rev range it's smoother, it's got more go and revs more freely. Now I wasn't expecting to feel that much of a difference of approx 3-5hp but this general smoothness and willingness to rev is a big bonus. Even with no change of exhaust note I'd be please with the can's performance increase. The Noise is an added extra ![]() I also found out the previous owner had fitted the rear hugger wrongly so spend an hours riding time fixing that before I could get out. Overall, very pleased with it. Cheers, Carl Last edited by Berlin; 05-09-07 at 09:22 AM. |
