Default Battery Advice

I think the battery in my SV is on it's way out, and I've been looking around to find a suitable YT12A-BS replacement. Can anyone recommend the best manufacturer/place to buy it???? Been looking at Varta and Yuasa batts for about £55 - any suggestions would be gladly received

Thanks
Andy

Good evening.
Either Yuasa or Varta are good batteries. I do think that the Yuasa is slightly better.
Avoid the cheapo ones, they can be ok, but usually they demonstrate why they're half the price.

Cheers.

see http://www.thefastone.co.uk/products.asp?cat=157

£38.99 plus a further fiver for delivery so have a look round if there is anything else you fancy to minimise delivery overhead

Just as a thought for the future, I got a new battery for my Deauville a week or so ago.

Having searched the interweb, I thought the £50 for a Yuasa YTZ12S (stonking 210Amps starting!) wasn't too bad...........straight from the local Honda dealer . It's only a few quid more than on-line prices inc p&p and saved any issues of delivery etc.

A YTZ10S would have been cheaper, and that is slightly shorter than the std curvy SV battery but still outperforms it (it's what the DV had in it, but it will just take the 12, so why not?).

I had thought about other battery options, as I know that others have fitted YT9's instead and saved a bit of money, but I am having starting issues at present so need to make sure that I have maximum power available to fault find. -- Old clickity click after first starting and running, then stop - won't restart, goes click, click, so I think battery is on its way out - if it's not that then it'll be the reg/rec... all part of the fun of constantly tinkering though

Cheers for the advice
