Default End of season weekend rideout/**** up TAKE 4

NEW POLL, PLEASE VOTE AGAIN IF YOU ALREADY VOTED IN THE OTHER POLL. THIS IS MULTIPLE CHOICE!

Ok...I've more or less decided.

This will be a 2 day run based on the following.

Call it the AR Eccosse 07 courtesy of the Stuartyboy

Northy - we need to add a poll for dates.

Dates being weekends
22nd Sep
29th Sep
ALSO NOW 6th OCTOBER

Start Kinross Services....11am
Glenfarg road
Into Perth and bypass the riverside
Head along Blairgowrie road past Scone Palace
All the way up to the turn off for Dunkeld
Head to Dunkeld for a stop chat.
Dunkeld to Blairgowrie via the butterstone road - awesome road
Blairgowrie to Glenshee
Stop at Spittal of Glenshee for refreshments
Head up to Braemar taking a left at Bridge of Gairn onto the Cockbridge Tomintoul road.

[I can do to here on my on in about 2 hours but rideouts with stops etc will slow this considerably.]

Stop at Boat of Garten or head into Aviemore. Stay over Aviemore for some flange and beer.

Day two

Aviemore to Spean Bridge. Stop for coffee blether
Spean Bridge to North Ballachuillish.

At North Ballachuillish we can peel off and go round the Kinlochleven loop which is wonderful - then join at ballachuillish.
Head from Balla toTyndrum Green well. We can stop off at a few places - Glencoe - that cool pub or the kings house.
From Green welly it's homeward bound.

We can peel off via the North Lochearn road (Easties)
or down into Calander for afternoon Scones then peel off. Dukes pass is optional.

Eitherway - Calander or Lochearnhead can be the homeward bound stretch.

Can I suggest up past the Lecht to Granton upon Spey 'cos I love that road? Or is that too far? Given the ridings been that good going North I'd be happy to suffer the boredom of hacking back down the A9 if necessary to get home at a decent time. Is it really that far compared to a run to Oban via Inveraray?

Watch this space!
Looking at the maps their are only two options that I can see.

1. Head back south towards Bridge Of Cally.
2. Say '**** it' and keep going North. Stop at a B&B somewhere and go to the pub.

I vote for option 2 cos we get to go on roads we seldom go on and can have a few beers at the end of the season.

Edit ----Oh and as for timing. Not really bothered....would prefer September but if it has to be October then not the end of October cos I am going to Zante for a week.
