Seen them go off down near mine for all sorts of reasons - seem to go off more in the wet, also.

Wouldn't you need something metallic to reflect the radar?
I reckon put a tin can on the end of a yard of string then swing it round and round your head. That should do it.

There's a speed camera outside my office which regularly goes off when there aren't any cars going in either direction.
