Right, I've done a search but the threads on this are abit old so I thought I'd ask again.
I'm looking for a gauge and pump. Not really bothered whether its digital/analogue gauge or a manual or electronic pump; I just want it to be accurate and reliable.....so what have you all got? |

I've got a Halfords long reach digital tyre pressure gauge (accurate to within 0.5 psi (at least according to blurb and screen anyway)
and a Halfords single cylinder car type foot pump. The gauge on the foot pump is consistently a couple of psi out from the digital meter.

Come on, more than one person must check their tyre pressures!

I use a halfrauds digital gauge and check my tyres before each ride when they are nice and cold and bike still sat on the paddock stands. Then again I am one of those smart arses with a compressor in the garage. but I don't trust the gauge on the tyre inflater and if I have to put a couple of psi in I again use the halfraud guage.

I use a motrax mini pump. Small and light, 20 quid from any online retailer.

Cheers guys, keep em coming. I was maybe looking at either the Michelin double foot pump or Halfords electric rapid inflater, anyone got any of these?

The AutoExpress reviews rated the Halfwits Rapid as top of the list of what they tried. The built-in didgital gauge was pretty accurate too.
http://www.autoexpress.co.uk/product...sors_mini.html I've got a couple of mini compressors (12V plug-in jobbies) and they work absolutely fine, recommended. It's most useful if you fit an accessory socket (fused) somewhere on the bike. I have one on a switched permanent supply (not on ignition) on my Deauville so it's handy to do any of the bikes in the garage. I have a couple of old and inaccurate pencil gauges which I carry on the bikes as an emergency measure. They're a couple of psi out but better than nothing.
