Default Ohlins springs fitment + fork seals

Thanks to the lovely Miss Paws I have sat in my garage a pair of ohlins springs, my questions are:

What spacers are needed to get the preload right? (can play with washers to get sag right later so long as am in right ballpark)

Should I replace the folk seals while I'm in there?

The Ohlins fork springs for my Bandit 600 were the same length as the originals so used the exisiting spacer. Provided the same is true of the SV kit you'll be fine doing a straight swap

My springs were way shorter than the originals. The kit came with metal tube that had to be cut to size, plus I'm guessing you'll want to take out some of the sag. I understand you can use plastic downpipe of the correct diameter for the job. Not used it myself though.

Wouldn't bother with seals, unless they're leaking, as that needs a full stripdown of the forks whereas what you're doing doesn't.

Provided they are the correct ones for your bike just fit them with std spacers as they are bike specific.

Racetech springs are more universal hence they come with spacer tube

Aye, like's been said just fire them in, sag should be, well, no more wrong than it was before

And leave the seals alone unless they leak, IMO, there's a slight case for doing it while you've got the forks out since half the work is disassembly and reassembly, but I don't think it really stands up.
