Exclamation Warning - Black Pointy M4 Sunday (7pm ish)

I nearly drove in to the back of you at about 100! Sort your fricking back lights out- they're completely broken!

At 100 you should be reading the road ahead and allowing for the unforseen.
What would you have done if he had a blowout and lost speed instantly, without using his brake light.
I myself think that the current speed limit of 70mph is a little slow for todays vehicles. You on the other hand have just justified why the speed limit is what it is. The vehicles may be capable of faster speeds but, are the drivers/riders.
When riding a little faster than what others might deem to be a reasonable speed (if you get my drrift) I am always looking for a way around the vehicle in front incase something unexpected happens.

On a side note. Did you check all your lights were functioning correctly before setting off???????

It was pitch black, he was on a black bike with black leathers and it was raining. What if he had a blowout? I wasn't tailgating him, I didn't see him. I have no idea why you think that is relevant. There wasn't actually a close call; I didn't have to swerve. But if I wasn't always on nerdy bike watch I may not have.

I have seen quite a few bikes without lights front and rear working or both in the dark.

I think they are mad they are an accident waiting to happen, I'm like mate sorts lights out, becasue the next time I see may be under a car. You know what it doesn't seem to bother them There is only some much you can do.
