Default Feelings of guilt

When you stop after a ride and you KNOW you have ridden like and absolute C*** ... after the adrenalin subsides, do you get an overwhelming feeling of guilt … sure you got away with it, but you know you have been naughty …

I'm no saint, but try to never ride like that. Hence I do not feel guilty after a ride.

I would like to think I never ride like the C word.

Sure I go at fairly a reasonable pace and when I get home sit and consider that today I could have lost my licence and therefore my job, and I could have indeed lost my life had my concentration lapsed briefly or something unexpected happen.

I sometimes feel slight guilt that I could have potentially left my girlfriend alone today.

I think you sometimes need to think like that to keep you 120% on ball whilst on a bike.

Yeah I get that sometimes. Not because I have ridden like a c***, but I may have ridden dangerously and I am ashamed of myself.

Yes, but some of it is a chemical come down after the adrenalin.

Aren't those two things the same?

i know what you mean - there's the odd occasion when i get caught up in the heat of the commuter run and am not as considerate as i'd like myself to be towards other road users, or have cut something a bit close. Doesn't happen often tho and i am pretty hard on myself after it!
