I am thinking of removing my liscense plate and relocating it on my left side, probably off the rear footrest or off of the swingarm. I have seen the brackets people do this with on ebay for 60$ but I'm not about to spend 60$ in some chrome piece of turd thats going to get covered in road grime a week into having it. Has anyone reloacted their plate somewhere else other than on the undertail? I figure whats the point in having a nice undertail if you have a hideous tag in the way of it?

I think side mounted plates look hideous, they upset the symmetry of a bike when viewed from behind.
There's a reason why Harley owners do it to their bikes, it's to distract you from looking at the rest of the hideousness that is Milwaukee's prime output. |

i dunno, it does look bad anywhere you put it, but i'd rather have it off the side than right in the way of a 200$ undertail. Any other ideas on where to mount it? Ive seen some bikes have it way up underneath the battery. Unfortunately, the SV bottoms out easily stock so with the plate under the undertail, it can hit your rear tire causing a big mess, like mine did yesterday: hence the post.
