Default hit and run

went out to the car last night to pick up my boy from his pals house. I couldnt open the drivers door fully. I couldnt figure out why until I looked at my front wing. big dent in it. someone obviously hit it and drove off.

my excess on insurance is ?350 so going to pay for it myself.

after my plumbing disaster last weekend costing me ?166 I think I may cancel xmas this year

You have my sympathy. The same thing happened to me a few years back and I was livid. What made it even worse for me that it was in a works car park with controlled barrier access. Sometimes you have to work with silent scum too.

Hope you get it fixed without costing the earth.

ruffy - still a very cute avatar.

anyway I went to car body repair place today to be told car needs a new wing. to get new wing and get it painted would cost ?150. I asked if he could just get the dent out so I could open the door, certainly ?40.

so its going in wednesday morning and I pick it up at lunch time.

happy bunny, xmas might not have to be cancelled after all (looks a bit like santa)

My dad's last car was written off like that, it got swiped by a truck of some sort (you could tell from the damage) and bounced off a kerb, all 4 wheels ended up pointing in different directions. Never traced the other vehicle. Scumbags...

Wing from a scrappie?
