Liverpool women 'UK's vainest'

Women in Liverpool are the vainest in the UK - checking their appearance in a mirror up to 71 times a day, according to a new survey.

The city topped the poll ahead of London and Newcastle. The woman also re-apply make-up as much as 11 times a day - which is almost once an hour for an average day

The most vain age is 27 with people of both sexes looking in the mirror an average of 52 times a day.
The least image conscious age group are people in their 60s who look in the mirror just five times a day. London came out as the most vain city for men, followed by Manchester and Leeds.

Does anyone else not bother looking in a mirror at all except for a quick 'can i get away without having a shave again' glance? Perhaps I'm just a scruff

i wouldnt say i'm vain, but i do like to make sure i look ok. nobody wants to meet a colleague/friend who has a stray bogey hanging off their face. i look in the mirror each time i use the facilities at work, so maybe half a dozen times....?

As my better half is a Liverpool woman, and takes 2 hours to get ready to go anywhere ...

And mine's from Newcastle who now lives in London. I know what you mean...

Agirl taking pride in her appearance is a good thing to my mind as long as her whole life does not fall apart if her lip gloss has temporarily turned to "matt"finish.

I am more concerned by those that appear to never stop to look in the mirror before venturing out in public to burn my eyes!

As I currently live in Newcastle, and I've spent a fair amount of time in Liverpool, the ladies are, on average, noticeably larger here than other cities around the country. Maybe there's just more to check?
