Im with carol nash; 20yr old, tpft on my bike and third party only on all other bikes, legal cover, homestart recovery, pillion cover and some other bits came to £450ish quid. Some have got it cheaper than that I know, but i thought that was very good considering what Im getting, and also I've been with carol nash before and they where helpful when I had a couple of accidents.

Good luck,

Matt

Is this hut made of bricks/blocks, if so tell them it's a brick built garage, don't tell them its a hut/shed.

did you decide to go new in the end then jon?

not sure if you'll be able to do the same, but because of my remote location my local dealer was able to get me onto the £99 insurance deal with suzuki:

http://www.suzuki-gb.co.uk/promos/promo.php?id=000046

i'm 22, new bike is garaged in a low crime area, and days after passing they got me with NIG for the £99, the quote would have normally been £400 or so, so suzuki might be worth a call as the cheapest FC insurance i was getting before them was with H&R at £550

Yup, defo try them.

I passed my test last year when I was 24 insured the bike the day I passed, I paid £314 TPFT on a 03' pointy S in a average area, garage with decent chain and alarm disc lock.

Thats the $24 million dollar question. Might post a pole up on the forum later to canvas opinions on what I should do!

£100 TPFT, kept in brick building, no other security.

I'm 28, insurance started the day after my test and it only had a £200 excess, though this goes up to £400 if it's nicked within 100 metres of my house and it's not in the garage!

Can't remember who it's with at the mo but they were cheapest by £50, I believe it's a German company!

Was getting quotes of £400 fully comp.
