Nah, the 650/400's chassis dimensions were designed for the Japanese home market, just like a lot of the 400cc class, meaning they're good for the smaller and slighter of build. All works out the same, though.

Still tons of sexism in biking, it's all pretty sad. The SV's a great example, it's a "girl's bike" But you get it all the time. When I first got the SV I was going out with a girl who was just getting into riding. We tried her on my old Virago 125, and she didn't like the cruiser aspect at all, so we went shopping. She really liked the ZXR400 we found (so did I! She wanted an SRAD 600 but I liked the ZXR more, and she got interested in it too) but the shop that was selling it just wasn't interested, every time we walked into a shop the assistants would be around me like flies, and she'd get ignored. Often the clothing salesmen would come over to her, since everyone knows girls like clothes but they don't really like motorbikes. They offered me a test ride on the ZXR (it was ace) but never even mentioned it when she was looking at it.

They did try and get her on a Virago 535, and a Monster, because those are "girl's bikes" with low seats, but she was taller than me! She's got a ZX10R now

Some girls even have long legs.

Or so I'm told.

I hear the odd negative comment about female riders but just dissmiss it as crap mostly . There aren't enough female riders out there to warrant a generalised negative attitude towards them if I'm honest. The blokes dishing out sexist comments are usually the insecure, backy chewin, red necks who think they can ride well but can't and in reality they're s##t scarred of havin their a###s whooped by a girl!

On my way into town a couple of months back an SV1000s rocked up next to me at the lights on the Holloway road. Nice bike I thought, then I looked up . Nice Leathers I thought , Nice pig tails hanging out the helmet . Left me for dust in a pool of dribble!

Come on ladies, get your leathers on and get out there. Rock on!!

The mechanic that saw my bike the other week says that he and a mate classes the SV650 as a 'girls bike'. Didn't really comment meself- it was in good humour.

Still- girls should only be on bikes if they're posing with their....

...I'll go, shall I? ;D
