To be fair, no-one else can ride that Ducati, Stoner has had to learn to master it. I hate all the bad sportsmanship from fans too, although Pedrosa sometimes looks like he is chewing a wasp.

I want to see Rossi win at the end of this season, then let the lads see the rabbit.

+1 to all of that. Though credit where credit is due, Guintors is doing rather well on the satellite bike, I think that may be last years...But then again he was on the Yamaha last year, but is doing really well with the Duke.

I didnt see any of this bad vibes from the fans around me at craners, evreytime JT went past he was met with clapping and air horns, Melandri got a good response as well and so did Rossi of course.

The Yamaha does indeed sound great, you can always tell it from the rest. The RCV's have a lovely rasping sound too them which is also nice. But hell the V4 Ducati screaming at high revs is simply audible org*sm!

I wouldn't be happy. The difference seems to me though, that when all the 'likeable' riders (Toseland, Edwards, Hayden etc) make a mistake they will say "I made a mistake". With Stoner however, it seems to be everybody elses fault but his. Schumacher was just the same in F1.

But as i have said in the OP, he must be giving it his all to keep it up there because his team-mate a racewinner on Hondas is finishing races quite a lot behind, sometime this year, it has been +1 minute, only the races where Casey has struggled with something has he finished less than that. And obviously China where Melandri did very well. When they are riding their nuts off they can get results which is what Stoner seems to be doing, and when something goes wrong it is gonna be a sh!77er for him. But yeah I can see your points, but honestly look at portugal, a piece of Dorna kit is hanging off his bike into corners causing a rather nice distraction, whats to blame...Dorna! France...3rd in Qualifying, 2nd in Warm Up. 2 laps behind in race...Definately rider error there People are just a little too harsh on the kid.

I think he rides it differently to the other Ducati riders, He trusts the bike and the electronics. Whereas the others dont lean so heavily on it.

So he wrings the neck of it and uses the electronics to get the maximum from it which what the other riders dont or can't do.

The Ducati is different to all the other GP bikes. All the other bikes can be changed and adapted to suit the rider (to a degree), the Ducati needs to be ridden a particular way, so it's the rider that has to change and adapt. Not something that many racers can achieve.
