Question help, plastic repair

bike fell over in dads drive last week and the nose scrappd down a wall. The faring and left headlight is scraped.
Reckon I can touch up and polish out the paintwork but is there anyway to remove or polish out the scratches in the headlight?
Really don't want to buy a new headight.

Hi mate,How deep are the scratches,I used 1200 rubbing down paper on mine and then polished it with Aeroshell Plexicoat, but they were more grazed than deep scratches
Not a 100% but eliminated by 95% and didn't seem to affect the lighting whatsoever

Yeah, likewise with mine, it had a lot of surface damage but nothing too deep. Took a long time to polish it back up, though. I didn't have any plastic polish so I just used paint rubbing compounds, working up to teh really fine halfords aerosol stuff. Probably plastic polish would be easier

I'm not going to touch the paintwork or the lens until after the massacre so hopefully get some advice there, had a look at new / 2nd hand headlight but wheesh bit pricey.
