Default Single Tyre rule....

This should make Greek happy....

I'm hearing (reading, actually) that an announcement is imminent, probably will be done at the Japan GP. They're also looking at banning electronic-controlled suspension, but they'd rather get some sort of 'agreement' from the teams rather than make it an official ban.

I think the single tyre rule is stupid , I mean what choice are they gonna have , a front tyre or a rear one ????? ..............................

It worked for WSB, I'm not sure it is right or whether it will work for MotoGP though.

It will work, but then multi-tyre would if the different brand tyres were indistinguishably competitive everywhere all the time, which is what everyone wants ultimately.
I really hope it comes to pass.

Now official! Both Bridgestone and Michellin need to put forth their proposals but as of 2009, MotoGP will be supplied by a single tyre manufacturer:

It is between Michelin and Bridgestone, the majority are on Bridgestone and Rossi and Pedrosa have both in the last year switched to them.

Guess it is down to who offers the best deal to Dorna...

Nah... they'd have to switch to a single engine configuration first.

I can see the benefits of the single tyre rule, I can also see the negatives too. It should produce closer racing next year, and hopefully bring Suzuki and Kawasaki closer to the front more often.
