No a woman is only associated with roughness IF she is falling about and generally being loud, and at that point it doesn't matter what she's drinking, although its likely the pints will have got her into that state quicker; if you walk into a pub and see a group of people quietly sat about a table have a good chinwag, what they're drinking doesn't exactly stand out.

Men drinking out of wine glasses makes me laugh, I always expect them to stick out their pinkies

Nope I often think the shape of a glass reflects the, how can I put it, "machoness" (?) of a bloke. I.e. men drinking pints is good, but a wine glass is too svelte, a bottle they can just about get away with. Lol, however this varies from person to person, a lot of men don't look daft with glasses anyway.

I was referring mainly to a time when I went to a pub near Chester, more like a bar with a lot of men in posh shirts all drinking out of wine glasses, so yeah I guess it does give that image. Same thing with your women and pints I guess. You wouldn't think a woman was butch if she was drinking halves would you and yet shes still consuming pints just indirectly....Stereotypes, wonderful things eh?

I think lasses drinking out of a pint glass is fine. If its real beer its even better

I dont really like seeing them with a can of fosters (lager)... not really good imo

Yeah but then you'll find a lot of women couldn't give a to$$ about what people think as far as what drink it is they have. If a man is shallow enough to not find a woman attractive just because she drinks out of a pint glass then chances are she's doing herself a favour.

If you had the choice between an attractive woman with a pint and a woman less attractive drinking a glass of chardonnay then which would you go for?

P.S. logic does come into these situations. If am out with YC then I find it convenient to get a pint - not necessarily the same one - as we usually buy rounds alternately so works out better.
