Soz put the wrong picture up! You can't really see how bent it is there but it is a fair bit and there's some fractures at the other side. Anyhow I don't think it's worth messing around with for £15. I don't have any chemical metal for one (so would have to by that anyway) I don't have a lot of time, and if it doesn't hold up I'm going to be back to square one again anyway.

It doesn't matter what you paid for it, it's what it's worth when you have fixed it that decides whether its worth repairing. If you could get to the same place cheaper by buying another and beaking the bent one, that's the way to go. Unless you just want the challenge.

Anyone have any idea how the cables are supposed to be routed at the front of the bike? Particularly the caliper hoses, dunno where to start. Getting really ****ed off

Chill dude.

What manner of hose? Braided? 2line? 3line? OEM?

lol sorry just been struggling in the dark. I have two stainless looking hoses running from the reservoir to the calipers. Could be oem, I'm not sure.

Unhappy Re: Bent Banana - The SV resurrection.

I found an oem down pipe, was going to cut and shut the very top (from the front cylinder) 4/5inches onto the rest of my leovinci system - does anyone know if this would be a problem?

Also after fitting my tapered bearings in the head I've been left with this gap:
Attachment 2894

And does anyone know if it matters how far up or down the forks go into the yolks? Would this depth be okay?

Are the pipes the same diameter? Thin stainless is a f##ker for distortion.
Have you got the dust cover in place under top yoke?
That fork position is fine or you could bring them a little higher.

No, the vinci system is very slightly bigger I think but will weld together fine so not radically different.
Yeah I have.
Cheers
I might go take a picture of my mess of wiring and hoses.
