Hmm £50 per hour isn't bad for studio time, not bad at all. Normaly the real cost comes with the prints or the copywrite. I was in a studio a few years back and the tog was like "yeah a 8x6 print will cost you about £34" in jessops they cost 3.99 on the best paper and I used to get them for 99p on my staff D, markup madness!!!! I say be interested if the price for prints is on the level the studio time certainly is

i had a similar debate on purestorm.. the argument was "what about us" i say if your work is good and the price is good, word spreads you will make more in a year than a photographer that is extortionate.. i say leave the expensive extortionate prices for magazine work and stock shots not with the public. this is all in my own opinion of course |
