Hi,
I've had a K7 fully faired SV650s for the past few months and love it. Last year I had a GSX750 and took it camping quite a lot. I'd like to do the same with my SV. Only thing is, I can't work out how to attach a cargo net to the bike (essential for large bulky items). There doesn't seem to be any handy fixings to accomodate such a thing. ![]() I'll be after panniers too.. but kind of need the cargo net. Any tips? Last edited by fatsamurai; 28-12-09 at 08:21 PM. |

the cargo net can be hooped round the pillion pegs and there should be two metal rails underneath the tail of the bike with lugs on you can loop round too. Definitely had it on my SVs can't see them removing it for the k7.
black pieces visible here ![]() I know that's a gen 1 but I have similar on my pointy.

as for panniers i found the oxford 'first' range fit far better than the more expensive Oxford ones - and they're the cheapest (makes a change eh!). used on 3 trips to Europe and i recommend them - HOWEVER the rain covers are rubbish and will tear/rip off at the earliest opportunity. just put stuff in bin liners etc....

I attach mine to the top box framework
[stands back and waits for heaps of abuse about having a top box]

Get some soft panniers then you can attach bungees, cargo nets etc to the panniers.
This is what I used for the annual ride out this summer. Think they were the cheapest Oxford panniers around. http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pi...6&id=589283511 |

But I also borrowed a set of the Oxford ones and found ample space for all the essentials, such as hair straighteners and my teddy
