Well there are reasons, but the roads are so fun round here on my doorstep why should I bother doing the Cat n Fidd, and have to put up with fog, speed cameras, crap riders, coppers, choppers etc etc, when I can find some excellent roads here, and do em all on my own with nobody to get in the way, and I can actually see where I'm going as they don't have fog
Theres roads all around Derbyshire that are much more fun, in fact anywhere in the country.

Not really anymore... I used to be an avid supporter of derbyshire and the Peak District in general and it's all crap now.

The place is just so overcrowded, its impossible to ride anywhere at the weekend as most of the roads are gridlocked with caravans and tourists, not to mention that vast swathes of it are now 40mph and 50mph. That before starting on the general surface condition.

Wales/scotland both infinetely better, ita shame I live so far away from them

Couldn't agree more, but if I have to go that direction, then theres more for me to enjoy than the C&F. Again agree with the road surfaces diabolical, but then some in Yorkshire aren't much better.
As for Scotchland, the roads are so great up their your tyres magically disappear
