Biking's expensive just to stand still sometimes. I need a new rear (and must need a new fron) soon, annual inspection needs to be done for warranty purposes if doesnt coincide with a major service, tax is up end of Feb on bike and car, car service end feb and tax and car needs rear tyre

Rich, I had the same problem with the tax on car and bike expiring on the same month. What I did was only renew the bike for 6 months (you only lose £3 doing this, rather than for 12 months, on an SV), and after that size months, revert to annual renewal. So, now the renewals for car and bike occur 6 months apart. Makes sure you don't renew the car one for 6 months insteas as it works out more expensive that way.
