I have the Sensation and it is well sensational.. It's fast and works well, if you understand the HTC Sense environment stuff. It took me a few weeks to get to grips, but me likey lots. Battery life is poor if it is constantly looking for wi-fi and/or signal, but turn off wi-fi and its pretty good. AFAIK most smart phones have this issue.

Yea, no smart phone is really very good on battery life. only time ill kill my phone before the day is out though is playing games, otherwise it lasts a day quite easily with reasonable use.

Sorry, did you say a DAY?

Have been considering a smart phone for a while now but if the battery life is that rubbish I'll not bother.

Depends what you do. You just text and ring it will last a couple. You start using it for internet, watching video or just playing around with it in general it will eat through power.

Its really not that big a problem as you generally just charge it each night and not worry. Though if you plan on going camping or any such activity that takes you away from a charge point a dumb phone with longer life might be good to have for those periods, or spare battery which is pretty cheap really.

Unfortunately battery tech is not advancing at a rate that it should be!

I've got a HTC Desire, best phone I've owned by far, its just the battery life which let's it down from being perfect - its on charge every night and 90% of the time I make it through the day. Although I have managed to kill it in about 5 hours through really heavy use, texts, net, angry birds, and robo tower defense constantly being played, ah that was a productive day in work :P
