Correct to a point. If you push too much through a relay, excessively, it will pop, which will mean that the NC circuit will remain closed, and the NO one will remain open, regardless of what voltage/current you supply the relay.

I thought about posting this before, but decided against it due to the thread being a very old one. 12v 10w relays are used in some scooters, particularly vespa's. Should anyone need one, they would be a good place to start looking.

Cheers sid, I don't think I'll be using a standard relay - I'm swapping it out for a LED friendly relay.

My own elegant solution was to bung the bike on Ebay and not mention that the indicators didn't work. I am ashamed.
