SHARP Results are out!

the arai condor i just got only got 2 stars, and the rst s4 that i was advised the arai was better safety wise got 5, so not sure

From what I've read on other forums and in MCN the tests are not consistent, also they use the same size headform in different size lids.

Also there was another bit that if the SHARP test wouldnt work properly on the helmet because of an air vent or someting, then they could do the test in a different place on the lid.

Personally I dont take much stand by the test results. Sounds like a test somebody in the government has dreamt up and whoever did so doesnt really get what a motorcycle lid is supposed to do.

I'll stick with my 3* Arai. Its comfy, it fits nuff said IMHO

Wohoo, my AGV Ti-Tech got 4 stars. Good job as i just bought the thing.

Shoei XR-1000 here. Not sure if I'm happy about 3 stars or not! Would like more detail on the tests and specifically the results for each helmet that would then result in the rating. Saying "3 stars" doesn't mean very much to me...

i know im more than happy with my arai rx7 and couldnt care less what cr*p the goverment has dreamt up about "what helmets are safer"

HJC AC-11 not on... Though it did come 4th in Rides recent review. So cant be far off I guess.

Perhaps all the Arai owners should have saved the £200 premium they paid for the cleaning kit and poncy marketing, wadded it up and used the notes to pad out a cheaper lid. Woulda probably passed the test then!
