I wrote to him,
waste of time, there was no way he was gonna fix it for me to have a go in an amphibious truck on a fast flowing river like James Bond!

I never asked for what I really wanted have though, I had to wait for adulthood that to come along! Now that was a rebirthday...

Well, I never wrote in myself but my other half and her friend did. They also ended up on the show...

...Guess what they wanted Jim to fix for them?...

...You won't believe this...

They ended up baby-sitting the Walton sextuplets!!!

I mean, come on. If you're going to ask Jim to fix it for you at least think of something more imaginative than baby-sitting FFS. I still tease her about it regularly.

Having said that, she's been on TV and has the 'Jim Fixed It For Me' badge to prove it, so, respect to her I guess.

Wonder how much I'd get for it on e-bay?

Four times I wrote to him asking if I could have a go on a Police bike. I even said I didn't mind being pillion if they didn't want me (at 11 years of age) to ride it myself.

He never answered me and I'm still a hurt child inside

I never wrote to him but I always got angry when I saw these kids asking for the most ridiculous things like:

'Dear Jim can you fix it for me to work in a button factory'

I realise now as an twenteen year old that it was the bbc being tight arses but at the time i was screaming 'anything, anything you could have asked for but working in a button factory is what you choose...plonker'

Ah what would you ask for if they started a new Jim'll fix it for adults 2moro?

Mine would be: 'Dear Jim can you fix it for me to poke George Bush and Gordon Brown in the eyes?'
